Trading junk from the XV donated by the Portuguese Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation to the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of the Sultanate of Oman.. The model is on display at the Land of Frankincense Gallery in the National Museum of Oman .
The model intents to reconstruct a ship of the Ming dynasty from the period of Admiral Zheng He who commanded the largest fleet of his time with almost 30 thousand men, throughout maritime Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa’s eastern coast.
